Movie Trailers

This trailer is from the horror movie The Blair Witch Project. I have chosen this trailer as i really like the idea of using a hand held camera effect as it adds to the scariness of the horror theme. I also really like the way that the camera is dropped on to the ground at the end of the trailer this looks really effective and shows that the movie will have a fatal ending. We also plan on using a scary woodland setting but we want it to have that personal feel so we plan on bringing the killer home. I feel that this trailer is really scary as the killer is never shown within it i think i would like to see the killer within my horror trailer as then people will have something to be scared off. I also like how the trailer has a lot of jumps and cuts within it this adds to the fear of it and i will try and make the happen in the editing stage of my trailer.



This is a horror trailer from the film The Ward. I really like the way that this is set in a mental hospital and the idea of being trapped. I also like the idea that they use of time and its running out. I feel that these effects are really effective as this shows there is no way out. I like the way that there is no way out that why i want to create the idea of bringing home the killer as this would then make the trailer more personal as it would be invading someones life. I also like the idea of having a killer on the loose and her looking creepy for my trailer i plan on making my killer look really scary with the use of makeup, latex and fake blood. I also will try and incorporate the fact that there is no escape then this way it keeps people on edge and they don't know what is going to happen.  



This is a trailer from the movie I Spit On Your Grave. I chose to use this trailer as i really like the way that she kills the people that has harmed her one by one like a revenge. I also like the fact that the movie is set in the woods and has a really creepy feel about it. From the trailer i would have been convinced to watch the movie and i want my trailer to have this type of effect. I like the fact that the killer is a woman and i think that this makes the trailer scarier as i find that female killers are more intimidating as women are generally more spiteful then men. I also think that the fact someone was hanging in the trailer looked really effective and i hope to use this effect in my trailer.
