I have used similar title colours and styles this help promote the movie as people will know what movie it is and where the title/style is from. On the other hand i have used different effects on the poster and magazine cover as i feel that this helps the advertising of the movie.
Title from my film poster:
Title from my Trailer:
Title from my magazine cover:
Even though i have used the same font i feel they don't work well as a promotional package to promote the movie as they all look different. I feel the most effective title is the title from my poster as this has more texture and it helps the movie to have a more scary feel about it.
I feel that my trailer has a really dark feel about it as this adds to the fear that it within it as people often think the dark is scary. i used this dark theme throughout the trailer and on each of my advertisements by using a lot of black. For my film poster and my magazine cover i have used images of the person playing the killer because i feel that this helps promote the killer and the magazine cover gets people to want to read what the movie was like. I think the person who played the killer in my trailer did it really well as she looked creepy and glared at the camera a lot. This is an example of this from my horror teaser trailer.
I really like the way that her eyes are darkened really adding to the evil effect.
Here is the images that i used for my magazine cover and my film poster. I feel the image i used for my magazine cover really gets across the killer in a different way. I like the way that the image i have used for my film poster really links to my movie trailer as its from a clip and really shows a close up of the killer. I like they way that all my advertisements fit well together but they do it in different ways so that the audience find out more about the movie and makes them want to go watch it. I have also used the same distribution and production companies on my poster and in my trailer using the same styles, this helps link them together and have a strong similarity between them. I have made other connections between my trailer and my poster. Like i used a still image of the monster in my trailer to create my poster as i thought that this was more effective and really linked the to together. I really like the ways that the poster and the trailer link well together. This helps the advertising to be effective because they have similar qualities like the title, colours and imagery. Also this is helped by having a main tag line within the movie and the poster as this connects them, this also helps if there is a sequel to a certain movie.

These are images that i have used in my poster and my magazine cover as you can tell they are very different. i wanted them to look different as the poster image is suppose to promote the film and advertising it so that it would get noticed. But the other image is the character in her natural form indicating the publicity for the movie was good and it was successful in the media. The success of a movie is displayed within many different forms as they want to display the reviews and this makes more people want to go see it. This i feel is another way of advertising the movie itself because if other people like it then people think that they will like it to. The different ways this gets across to the public is by displaying it in magazines, reviews on the cinema sites, on TV etc.
Over all i feel that even though my horror teaser trailer, film poster and magazine cover don't have many similar aspects that they get across the movie in different ways. I feel that this helps them work better as a promotional package because they all show a different side to each of the trailer. Showing these different ways of the film really help the audience see a glimpse of the movie and hint towards what it is going to have within it.
The title from your magazine poster?? Which is it?? You need a bit more on how the poster and the trailer work together. Both of these would be produced by the distribution company and they would be focusing on creating a coherent marketing message for the film. So therefore you are right to point out that using different fonts for the title is a problem. What other problems or successes are there? What about taglines, or a website? You also need to distinguish your magazine from the other two products. The trailer and poster are examples of advertising and the magazine is the example of a successful outcome for the publicity campaign of the movie, where a distribution company will devise a strategy for getting its movie into the press and on tv. You can read about how this strategy is created in the lovely handout I gave you or on launchingfilms.TV. It would be a good idea to do some linking to this and to give some further examples of successful generation of publicity.
